Who Is Joya?
Believe it or not, I’m just an ordinary person. But before we dive into that, let’s start with my name. It’s Brazilian and means “jewel.” It’s pronounced with a soft J—like the J in Jean-Luc or the G in genre. Say it with me: Jjjjö’yah. Not Hoy-a, not Joy-a. Jjjjö’yah. There you go!
It’s a pleasure to meet you! You might be wondering—who am I, and why am I here? I believe the universe is a vast, untapped reservoir of goodness, power, and possibility. The key to unlocking it? Storytelling in all its forms. Every time we share a story, watch a video, engage with a post, or lose ourselves in a beloved book, we breathe life into what’s possible and create connections that bring people together.
