I can’t believe how much progress I’ve made in just a few weeks. At the beginning of the month I was super excited to launch my book and brand, but was totally overwhelmed at the work ahead of me. Well, I can happily say that I’ve posted a few videos on my social channels and even created a read aloud video for You Belong Right Here. Not to mention creating 4 children’s activity pages as companions to You Belong Right Here. Throughout the month I’ve had to remind myself to keep my eyes on my own paper, you know. It’s so easy to get caught up in the success of what other authors/creators/humans are doing and lose sight of what I’m trying to accomplish. The success of other people doesn’t diminish what we do as individuals. Bringing something positive into someone’s life benefits us all. If even ONE PERSON watches my videos, reads my book, leaves a comment, etc.-and feels seen, heard, included and that they belong, I’m headed in the right direction. Progress is progress.
